From Mr Bolan’s Desk – Week 2

Welcome to the New School Year!

We are delighted to welcome back our students and families for another exciting year at Beechboro Christian School. It has been a wonderful start, with classrooms filled with learning and laughter as students settle in.

A special welcome to our new families who have joined Beechboro Christian School for the first time this year. We hope that you quickly feel a sense of belonging and connection within our school community.

A highlight for our youngest learners is the new ELC Playground, which is due for completion by the end of this week. While we had hoped to have it ready before students returned, unavoidable delays meant the work extended into Term 1. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing our Kindy and Pre-Primary students enjoy this new space very soon!

This year, we look forward to developing the Nature Play area for our Years 1–6 students to enjoy. Discussions with the landscape architects are well underway, and we hope to see work begin soon. The designated area for this project is the mulched space to the east of our undercover area.

We also extend a warm welcome to the new staff joining our team this year:

Mr Chan | Year 5/6 Teacher
Mr Whiteley | Year 3 Teacher
Mrs Kettles | Year 2 Teacher
Mrs Tipplin | Year 1 Teacher (Term 1)
Mr Partington | Music Specialist Teacher

Across the year, we have a number of events on the school calendar that become highlights for our students. While many of these events are hosted by the school, they would not be possible without the support of our Parents in Partnership Committee, whose members are actively involved throughout the year. This week, you would have received an email seeking expressions of interest from parents who may wish to nominate themselves for the committee. Our hope is to have around eight members, with representation from each year level.

As we begin this new year, we look forward to partnering with you to support your children academically, socially, and spiritually. My prayer is that throughout the year, you will draw strength from Jesus and be encouraged by His presence in your family’s journey.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Parent Lounge – Parent Orbit – SeeSaw – What are these used for?

A reminder that parents can access the school calendar through the Parent Orbit app, which highlights key dates and events throughout the year. Parent Orbit is the mobile version of Parent Lounge, offering the same information in an easy-to-navigate format. We highly recommend all parents download the Parent Orbit app for convenient access to important school updates, academic reports, school fee accounts, and other administrative functions.

Additionally, SeeSaw is a classroom communication tool managed by individual teachers to keep parents informed about what’s happening in their child’s class. While it’s a great way to stay connected with the classroom, it is not a school-wide administrative platform. All school administrative procedures, including absentees and medical updates, should be managed through Parent Lounge/Parent Orbit.

Thank you for your understanding and partnership.
