Our Year 5/6 and Year 6 students have been diving into hands-on learning during their technology lessons by building towers!
Through this activity, they’ve been discovering the importance of trusses, triangles, and how different structures can hold weight and stay balanced. They’ve also explored how thoughtful design and the right materials can meet a specific purpose and set of criteria.
This exciting work is just the beginning of a larger project. The students will take on the challenge of designing and building a bridge that can span a certain length and support a set weight. We can’t wait to see their creativity and problem-solving skills shine!
