This term, Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic excursion to the State Library of WA and The Nostalgia Box. At the State Library, we explored fractured fairy tales and discovered how familiar stories can be retold in fun and creative ways. Students enjoyed listening to stories, participating in puppetry activities, and comparing different versions of well-known tales.
We then travelled to The Nostalgia Box, where we learned about the history of video games and explored how games have changed over time. Students analysed and played a variety of games, gathering ideas and inspiration for our Technology learning.
Back at school, we have been busy working together to create our own games using ScratchJr. Students have loved learning how to code, solve problems, and bring their ideas to life. A big thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who joined us on the day. Your support helped make the excursion a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
