Term 3 has started well at BCS. A special welcome to the new families, as well as Miss Farleigh (Year 1) and Miss Pattinson (Year 6), who have joined our community this term.
Although things are settled at the moment in Western Australia, in relation to COVID-19, it is crucial that we continue to follow the advice of the Government, ensuring that we keep our community safe.
For the time being, we are continuing to ask parents not to enter the classroom to ensure that we can maintain the recommended social distancing of adult visitors set out in Phase 4.
We will be recommencing many of our calendar items again this term, including assemblies, carnivals and incursions/excursions; however, we will continue to watch and be guided and directed by the recommendations that we receive in the weeks ahead.

I have been overwhelmed by the number of prospective families who have shared with me that Beechboro Christian School has a fantastic reputation in the wider community. As a result of this, we have maintained a steady flow of enrolment interviews for new families across the year.
With the introduction of a five day Kindy program in 2021, we are well on our way to having two full Kindy classes. Our student numbers in other year groups indicate that we are working towards being double streamed (two classes) from Pre-Primary up to Year 4 next year; depending on student movement at the end of the year.
If you have a child due to start Kindy in 2021, who you haven’t enrolled yet, please do so to ensure that your child does not miss out on the opportunity to be a part of our fantastic Kindergarten program.
Please be reminded, should you be leaving our community at the end of this year, we require that you notify us in writing by the end of the term, 25 September, to avoid being charged a term’s fees.
May I wish you a restful and relaxing weekend and I look forward to seeing you around the school in the coming week.
Mr Michael Bolan
